  We were excited to see what the hotel was like based on the photos from their website, but the reality was that the hotel was tired and in need of a revamp. We had one of the twin rooms which was very very small. We had to share a bedside table and there was little more than 1.5ft of space between the beds. The ensuite was good, although my shower did keep switching between boiling hot and cold water which didn't quite make it the relaxing shower I needed. On the plus side, the staff have all been very friendly and helpful. One of the waitresses was dancing to the reception music when we arrived. There is a good selection of ale, cider and spirits behind the bar. I would stay here again, but only for one or two nights.

  Lovely carvery, I had a massive portion of pork and beef which was cooked to perfection, veg and salads are very nice and all seasoned well. Overall a very nice experience and the staff are very friendly and polite.
